The mediating role of work motivation on the influence of organizational culture and the use of information technology on knowledge management

Abstract

This study analyzes: (1) The influence of organizational culture on knowledge management. (2) The effect of using information technology on knowledge management. (3) The influence of organizational culture on work motivation. (4) The effect of using information technology on work motivation. (5) The effect of work motivation on knowledge management. (6) The influence of organizational culture on knowledge management through work motivation as mediation. (7) The effect of using information technology on knowledge management through work motivation as mediation. This research is a causal research. The population of this study are employees of PT. Telkom Access West Sumatra with a sample of 158 people. The sampling technique was used using the Slovin formula with a proportional clustered simple random sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire with a Likert Scale. The analysis technique used is through SmartPLS 4 software. The results of data processing in this study show that: (1) Organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on knowledge management in employees of PT. Telkom Access West Sumatra. (2) Utilization of information technology has a positive and significant effect on knowledge management at PT. Telkom Access West Sumatra. (3) Organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on work motivation of PT. Telkom Access West Sumatra. (4) The use of information technology has a positive and significant effect on work motivation of PT. Telkom Access West Sumatra. (5) Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on knowledge management at PT. Telkom Access West Sumatra. (6) Work motivation does not mediate the effect of organizational culture on knowledge management at PT. Telkom Access West Sumatra. (7) Work motivation mediates the influence of the use of information technology on knowledge management at PT. Telkom Access West Sumatra.
