Work Family Conflict and Burnout: The Moderating Role of Affective Commitment

Abstract

This purpose of this research is to analyze: (1) the work family conflict effect on employee burnout. (2) The Affective Commitment effect on Employee Burnout. (3) Effect of Work Family Conflict on Burnout with Affective Commitment as moderator.The population in this study were all employees, amounting to 104 people. While the sampling number in this research was determined using the cluster proportional random sampling technique with a sample of 83 employees. The data collection method used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that affective commitment acts as a moderator in the relationship between work family conflict and burnout. The moderator and hypothesis tests were carried out through moderated regression analysis using the SPSS 25 program. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Conflict positive of work family and effect of significant on Burnout. (2) Affective Commitment has a negative and significant effect on Burnout. (3) Affective Commitment is simple to weaken the influence of Family Conflict of Work on Burnout.
